NorthPointe Christian Schools is an independent Christian school formed in 1972 serving over 1,300 preschool through high school students from over 120 churches. POSITION SUMMARY

NorthPointe Christian's Admissions Coordinator leads, manages and evaluates the student enrollment process – from inquiry through admissions to assimilation into the school's culture. Along with process management, the position provides creative oversight, in keeping with the school's mission, to draw, enroll and retain mission-appropriate students. This individual must be a strong advocate of Christian education and will be responsible for sharing the NorthPointe Christian story with prospective families. This role will primarily focus on processing middle and high school families (75%) but will also include supporting and collaborating with the Preschool and Elementary Admissions Coordinator (25%). 

The Admissions Coordinator is a key employee who actively engages in NorthPointe Christian’s mission of “Equipping students to impact their world for Jesus Christ.” 

This position is 30 hours per week, year round. 

NPC EMPLOYEE RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Support the School’s Foundational Statements and mission through word and deed.
  • Participate in a minimum of two “mission-building” activities throughout the school year. Examples include, but are not limited to, serving as a discipleship group leader, participating in a chapel service, assisting in Elementary School Bible study, leading or participating in a prayer or worship event, sharing a testimony or words of encouragement to a class or group of students, coaching, or assisting a student with a faith-based project.
  • Follow safety protocols for areas where students can be and how to secure the building.
  • Be punctual in reporting to work and while at work.
  • Follow protocols in the employee handbook and respect decisions made by leadership.
  • Maintain confidentiality of all matters pertaining to students, employees, and donors as outlined in NPC’s Confidentiality Agreement.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES—Include, but not limited to:

  • Respond to all new student inquiries with the goal of cultivating relationships of all mission- appropriate families.
  • Work in a fast-paced atmosphere, able to multi-task and adapt to last minute changes and/or additions based on school and/or family needs.
  • Manage the admissions process, from first inquiry to assimilation. 
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure a smooth onboarding process.  
  • Maintain appropriate admission statistics and records to evaluate to monitor effectiveness of admissions process. 
  • Establish recruitment strategies, in collaboration with the Director of Admissions, to draw and keep mission-appropriate families. 
  • Provide tours of campus – both individual and group.
  • Schedule enrollment interviews with new families. 
  • Educate and enlist faculty and staff to assist where needed in the admission process.
  • Collaborate with Marketing Coordinator and Director of Admissions in the creation of Admissions materials.
  • Create and maintain files for new families.
  • In conjunction with the administrative staff, evaluate applicants for admission. 
  • Execute open houses and admissions events for prospective families.

QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS

  • Christian in agreement with and willing to sign NorthPointe Christian School’s Foundational Statements.
  • Able to pass required background checks and fingerprint screening.
  • Bachelors degree required.
  • Minimum of two (2) years’ experience in a related field of admissions, marketing, hospitality, or event planning preferred.
  • Reliable transportation to travel between two campuses.
  • Previous experience using a CRM or the ability to learn new technology. Technology proficiency in Google Suite and Canva.

SKILLS—The successful candidate will have:

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Capacity to initiate and nurture relationships with potential school families.
  • Excellent organizational skills.
  • Computer proficiency: CRM database, Excel, and word processing software.
  • Understanding of marketing principles as they relate to student admissions.
  • Ability to plan long-term and manage the daily details of implementation.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

The work environment is generally a standard office setting, with a low to moderate noise level. However, the noise level may occasionally be high depending upon the student population and activities.
